Introducing iCQ Future Stars

Championing the next generation of hospitality talent

iCQ Awards is proud to launch iCQ Future Stars – a brand‑new initiative created to support and empower the next generation of hospitality professionals.

Delivered in partnership with our sister organisation, People 1st International, this scheme is designed to give learners the confidence and tools they need as they begin their careers in one of the UK’s most dynamic industries.

Giving hospitality learners the best possible start

Starting out in hospitality often means stepping into a brand‑new environment.

To help learners feel prepared and part of the team from day one, iCQ Future Stars provides every learner registered with an iCQ hospitality qualification with high-quality branded professional wear.

Learners will receive:

  • A chef’s jacket for kitchen‑based apprentices
  • An apron for front‑of‑house and other hospitality apprentices

Each piece features iCQ, Future Stars, and People 1st International branding, with optional space for course providers or sponsors to add their own. It’s a simple, practical, and motivating way to show learners they are valued and supported right from the start.

The £10,000 Future Stars Fund

To further enhance opportunities for learners, we’re pleased to introduce the Future Stars Fund — a dedicated £10,000 fund designed to help hospitality apprentices access the tools, equipment, and experiences that can make a meaningful difference to their training.

The fund is open to:

Providers can apply for grants of up to £500, with funding awarded to initiatives that clearly demonstrate how they will benefit hospitality learners. Whether it’s upgrading kitchen equipment, providing additional learning resources, or supporting enrichment activities, these grants offer a valuable helping hand to those shaping the future workforce.

Applications now open

Applications for Future Stars grants are now open. Centres and accredited college restaurants are invited to submit their proposals by 31 October for the chance to secure funding of up to £500.

Get involved in shaping tomorrow’s hospitality talent

The Future Stars scheme has been created to recognise and uplift the learners who will play a vital role in the hospitality sector’s future success. We welcome training providers, employers, and partners to join us in supporting this mission.
